about me

Nora was born and raised in the East Bay and has been doing hair in the Bay Area since 2012. She strives to create a space where all clients can feel safe and comfortable so she can fully understand their wants and needs for their hair. She specializes in cutting and coloring curly, kinky and wavy hair, hoping each client will never have a bad hair experience again! As a part of the queer community she also loves to create gender and identity affirming hairstyles.

Utilizing dry cuts, razor cuts and shear cuts she creates intentional shapes in all textures and teaches clients styling techniques to simplify their daily lives. She likes to do natural looking, blended, low maintenance color with hand painted balayage and highlights to enhance her clients’ skin tone and eye color, giving that *you just went on vacation* look.

Since her years of apprenticing in San Francisco, Nora has continued to take many cutting and coloring classes over the years from major brands and small indie hairdressers. All the curly classes she has taken from other independent women stylists within the last 5 years has inspired her to offer classes of her own.

She now offers cutting and coloring classes for stylists in class settings and one on one workshops. She is passionate about teaching cutting and styling for curly hair and hand painted balayage color.

Nora offers appointments for clients at Marmalade Salon in Oakland on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Outside of the salon she loves to travel with her wife and enjoy all of the tasty restaurants the Bay Area has to offer. She also loves to craft, cook, knit and lounge with her 10 year old pitbull, Frida.
